Maddy is a broadcaster for Sky Sports News, and the perfect guest to talk about a topic I know least about - Sports and Football! I wanted to bring Maddy onto the podcast to talk about apprenticeships, and some of the stigmas and misconceptions we have around them. Many of you guys may be interested in Sports, Broadcasting or an apprenticeship/ internship programme, so who better than someone who has experience with the application process. Maddy gives us insider advice on how to succeed as a young intern, how to make yourself stand out to your managers and the opportunities available to young people beyond the standard university route.
Maddy Morrison is a Broadcaster for Sky Sports News. She began her career in sports broadcasting at the young age of 17 and now, at 21, she has a career that has many achievements worth shouting about. She began as a sports operator at Deltatre - a global IT and communications agency that works with leading brands and businesses to bring high quality sports content. She spent some time as sports radio presenter, and now finds herself as a Gallery Co-producer with Sky Sports News. And sidenote, Maddy is also BAFTA nominated through her work at the Rio Paralympic Games. Not your everyday 21 year old!
